Born in 1947 in Lebanon. Mr. Faysal El-Khalil graduated from The American University of Beirut in 1969 with a degree in Political Studies. He joined the family trucking business in Nigeria. The same year after selling that business, he moved to Seven-Up Bottling Company PLC in 1975. The Company operated one plant in 1975 and has now grown to nine plants and 60 depots. Became the Managing Director of SBC Nigeria in 1978 and served in that position until 2005.
He is presently the Chairman of SBC Nigeria, SBC Tanzania which was acquired in 2001 and SBC Ghana which was acquired early 2008. He is also Chairman of the recently set up SBC Kenya.
Mr. Faysal attended several Management Executive Programs at Harvard University. He has been decorated by the Nigerian Government with the distinguished “Officer of The Order of The Niger.
Mr. Faysal serves on the Board of MAK Holdings S.A.L. and is Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Continental Beverages S.A.L.
